The Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max is for people who use a phone as their main camera, work screen and travel companion. Its 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display has ProMotion up to 120Hz, Always-On display and a 2868-by-1320 resolution at 460 ppi. The aluminium unibody, Ceramic Shield 2 front and Ceramic Shield back are designed for a flagship that is used every day, not just admired in a box.
Built for demanding days
Apple's A20 Pro chip is paired with the large display for editing, gaming, multitasking and Apple Intelligence features where supported. The iPhone 18 Pro Max supports 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, NFC and USB 3 over USB-C. It is a sensible choice for professionals who need maps, messaging, documents, video calls and media capture to stay responsive through a long day.
Pro camera system for photos and video
The 48MP Pro camera system is built around a 48MP Fusion main camera, 48MP Ultra Wide and 48MP Telephoto. The 18MP Center Stage front camera supports autofocus, smart framing and 4K Dolby Vision video. For creators, the phone also supports ProRes video with external recording, ProRAW, Apple Log 2 and stabilised 4K capture. Choose it when you want a capable pocket camera for family photos, product shots, events and short-form video without carrying another device.
Battery, charging and travel
Apple rates the iPhone 18 Pro Max for up to 45 hours of video playback. Charge through USB-C, MagSafe up to 25W or Qi2 wireless charging up to 25W with compatible equipment. Actual battery life and charging speed vary with network use, settings, temperature and accessories, but the large battery is a useful advantage for commuting, travel and intensive camera use.

iPhone 18 Pro Max or iPhone 17 Pro Max?
The iPhone 17 Pro Max remains a strong option for shoppers who want a capable Pro iPhone at its listed price. Choose the iPhone 18 Pro Max when the A20 Pro platform, updated 18MP Center Stage camera, 45-hour video-playback rating and current colour/storage choices better suit a longer ownership cycle.
