List the photographs you take most often. Receipts, food, portraits and distant subjects create different requirements. Compare the exact lenses, stabilisation and recording modes rather than relying on total megapixels. A phone with a feature you rarely use may add less value than one that handles your ordinary indoor photographs more consistently. Where possible, assess samples from the same kind of situation in which your current phone disappoints you.
For a business owner, include the editing and sharing process in the test. Record a short product video, check microphone pickup, review the image and export it in the format you use. Higher-detail options can need more storage and processing. If most output goes through a compressed messaging channel, understand which differences remain visible. Choose the camera capability you use, not an imagined superiority attached to the product-family name.
